A Glimpse at Moyock Library

Look for some of the same programs that you have come to enjoy in Currituck at the new Moyock Library.

There will be Babygarten, toddler and preschool story times, quarterly school age programs, summer reading program and programs for teens.

In addition, programs will be held in conjunction with the Currituck Arts Council, which is also based in the library.

This is just a peek at some of the exciting programs coming to the new Moyock Library.

Job Seekers Assistance Program

The Currituck Library is now offering assistance for job seekers.  We can advise you on:

• How to use the computer to fill out job applications online
• Creating an effective resume and cover letter
• Identifying job skills
• Evaluating career options
• Preparing for interviews
• The most effective ways to find job openings

Simple requests can be handled on a drop-in basis.  For more extensive help, please make an appointment by calling 453-8345 and asking for Vicky.

Starting Your Own Business?

Thinking about starting your own business? 

The Currituck County Library in Barco now offers a collection of books on starting and operating your own small business. 

In the coming months, we will be working with the Small Business Centers at the College of the Albemarle in Dare and Pasquotank Counties to bring you a series of workshops on becoming a small business entrepreneur.
