Community Meeting Room / Conference Room
Non-profit organizations can meet free of charge in the Community Meeting Room or Conference Room during open hours and after closing hours .
Computers and Internet Access
Patrons may use the public computers or access the library’s WIFI connection with their personal laptop computer.
Computer Classes
Computer classes are given free of charge. Please see the Classes link on the homepage for the schedule.
Faxing
Patrons can send and receive faxes for a fee.
Genealogy Research Center
The library offers instructional classes in how to do genealogy each month. A Genealogy Research Center provides journals, reference books, and computers for genealogy research. Research assistance is also available most weekdays.
Holds
Patrons may request any item owned by a library in the East Albemarle region via their personal account in the EARL catalog or by calling the library or making a request in person.
Interlibrary Loans
Patrons may request books from libraries nationwide that are not owned by an East Albemarle region library.
Intra-library Loans
Patrons can borrow items from other branches within the East Albemarle Regional System.
Outreach Services
The Library offers outreach services to homebound patrons, residents of Gibbs’ Woods and Knott’s Island and county daycares.
Parent Education
The library offers a variety of classes on how parents can help their children become capable readers.
Photocopiers
Photocopiers are available at all Currituck County Libraries. Charges are ten cents per page.
A Microfilm reader/printer and microfiche reader are available in the genealogy department. Copies made on these machines are ten cents.
Programs
The Library offers children’s, teen’s, and adult programs throughout the year.
Reading Clubs
The library offers a monthly book club for both teens and adults.
Tax Forms
State and federal (North Carolina & US) tax form are available during tax season.
Tours
Library tours are available upon request. Please call Patsy Howard to make arrangements.
Typewriter
A typewriter is available for public use in the genealogy section.
