FRIENDS OF THE CURRITUCK COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends meet the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
Any member of the community who is concerned with keeping the quality of the library’s resources to a high standard is invited to join the Friends of the Library.
The purpose of the Friends is to foster closer relations between the Currituck County Library and the community, to assist bringing funds to the library for special needs beyond the library budget, to encourage gifts, and offer wider library services to the community. The organization also cooperates with the library staff and Board of Trustees in the development of resources for the library.

The Foundation Board meets on the first Tuesday of March, June, September and December at 2:00 p.m.
The Foundation was incorporated in 1997 for the purpose of :
- obtaining and maintaining trust funds and memorials and to receive gifts, grants and bequests from the general public for use by the library;
- distribute funds to the library for the purposes specified by the donor, or in the case of undesignated funds, as requested by the library
- promote and support library services within the County
CURRITUCK COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Trustees meet the second Wednesday of January, April, July and October at 3:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public.
The Trustees are appointed by the Currituck County Commissioners. The current board members are:
