1. Using any internet computer, go to
www.earlibrary.org.
2. Find the exact title you want by typing it into the search
box and click
GO.
3. Click on the
PLACE HOLD button to the left of the title.
4. Enter your
Patron ID Number (14-digit library card barcode
without spaces)
5. Enter your
PIN (Personal Identification Number), if you do
not have or know your PIN please contact the circulation staff and they will
assign you a PIN.
6. Click on the
Submit Request button.
The screen will display whether the hold was approved (successfully
placed). If unsuccessful, you will be notified to contact the library staff
and they can assist you further. If you have overdue items or overdue fines
of $5 or more you can not place holds. You can try to use the Patron Review
feature to renew your overdue items. If you still cannot place a hold,
please contact the circulation staff.
Note: An approved hold does not mean the item is waiting
for you! You will be called when we receive your item.
What is a hold?
Patrons with a valid library card may place a hold/request through
the online catalog. If you have not already set up a PIN for your account,
you must first call the circulation desk at 335-2473.
What can I put on hold?
Holds may be placed on all items (except bookmobile,
genealogy, and reference
books).
Can I renew an item on hold?
Renewals are not permitted on titles that have holds on them.
