
Community Meeting Room / Group Study Room
Non-profit organizations can meet free of charge in the Community
Meeting Room during and after closing hours except during County Holidays
and Sunday. You can only meet in the Group Study Room when the Library
is open.
Computers and Internet Access
Patrons may use the public computers in the
computer lab as well as those that are stationed throughout the library.
Computer Classes
Computer classes are given free of charge.
Faxing
Patrons can send and receive faxes for a reasonable fee.
Holds
Patrons may request books
that are checked-out, in transit, overdue, on hold, on order, or shown
currently available.
Interlibrary Loans
Patrons may request items
from libraries nationwide through interlibrary loan. There is
a small processing fee
of $2.50 plus shipping.
Intra-library Loans
Patrons can borrow items from other branches within
the East Albemarle Regional System.
Outreach Services
The Library offers outreach services via the Bookmobile,
as well as staff participation in Community Events.
Photocopiers
Photocopiers are available
on the first and second floor. Charges are ten cents per page.
Microfilm reader/printer is available on the second floor
in the Heritage Center. Copies made on this machine are ten cents.
Programs
The Library offers children, teens, and multicultural
programs throughout the year.
Reading Group
The Librarian spearheads a Book Discussion Group
that meets monthly.
Tax Forms
State and federal (North Carolina & US) tax form are available during
tax season.
Telephone Service
Patrons may use the telephone in the vestibule free
of charge. Long distance calls are prohibited.
Tours
The Reference Library Assistant
gives tours of the Library to any patron or organization
that makes a request.
Typewriter
A typewriter is available for use in the computer
lab on the 2nd floor.
